Rex Stillions

Rex began working at GS Courtyard Homes in September of 2021 as a home consultant. Prior to working at GS, Rex was the manager of Kirkwood Photo in Bloomington from 2015 to 2021. Rex was born and raised in Bloomington and has always been interested in the home building process. He is excited to join our team and to help the community find affordable housing.

William Hays

William began working at GS Courtyard Homes in September of 2021 as a home consultant. William went to Bloomington High School South, wrestled for 4 years, was a 3 year varsity wrestler, and went to semi-state all 3 years. William also took part in a musical theater group called Sounds of South and was in the productions of Beauty and the Beast, Hello Dolly, Pippin, and Guys and Dolls. He has had internships working with Gillette, which is a general contracting company, and with Hoosier Choice Property Management in Bloomington. William has been onboarded as a new home consultant/service coordinator.

Griffin Schermer

Griffin is the third generation Schermer emerging into the manufactured housing industry. He recently graduated from Wabash College with a degree in psychology and business. He also wrestled four years at Wabash College, and was a varsity wrestler three out of the four years. The three years he wrestled varsity his team finished with All-American status finishing top four as a team his senior year. He wrestled for a total of 18 years and was a multiple-time state placer in high school. He has been singing his entire life and has been in over a dozen musical productions. In college, he interned at a dealership in Kentucky where he worked with sales, foundations, set-up, delivery, and service. He oversees the project management, accounting, and sales at GS Courtyard Homes.

Gary Schermer

Gary brings the most experience to the GS Courtyard team. He has been involved in the manufactured housing industry for 20+ years. He started in Bloomington around 1984 where he climbed the ladder becoming one of the top sales managers in Indiana. He worked at multiple home dealerships and brought struggling sales lots back to the top. He’s worked on every side of the manufactured housing business before the downturn came in 2006, where he then went to work for Steve’s Roofing. After 10+ years working for Steve’s he was asked to re-enter the manufactured home business. Along with his extensive career, he’s a talented musician, both singing and playing the saxophone for over 50 years. He is the general manager at GS Courtyard Homes and oversees all operations.
